Gulfstream III Private Jet Interior Design & Renovation

for American actor, producer, director, and playwright Tyler Perry

When Tyler Perry set out to reimagine his $125 million Gulfstream III, he personally hired me to design the transformation. I spent the day onsite at Tyler Perry Studios, working from my laptop in his private workspace and collaborating directly with him on concepts and finishes. He loved a reference image of an interior designed by Gianni Versace, and together we developed a custom design inspired by that glamorous aesthetic—rich textures, bold geometry, and meticulous detailing that exude both power and artistry.

The final “Flying Theatre” configuration features a 42-inch HD LCD screen, multiple Blu-ray players, iPod docking stations, satellite TV, and cinematic theatre lighting with electronically controlled mood shades. At least $50 million was invested in customizations for the formal living room, kitchen, and VIP bedroom. I designed bespoke fabric and leather patterns, carpet inlays, and lampshades based on a custom monogram logo—two interlocking T’s for “Tyler”—that repeated throughout the interior for a cohesive, iconic brand statement.

This aircraft exemplifies elegance, innovation, and purpose. Beyond luxury, Tyler Perry has used his jets for humanitarian aid, delivering supplies to disaster-stricken regions. He even owns a second identical Gulfstream, proving that true style—and heart—can soar above the clouds.
